๐Ÿ“‰ Ascend Wellness Closing Lansing Grow โ€” 94 Layoffs

AWH is permanently closing its grow operation at 735 E. Hazel St. in Lansing on June 26, laying off 94 workers. The facility holds 5 Class C grow licenses โ€” up to 7,500 plants of legal capacity leaving the market. The closure follows a Christmas Day 2025 fire. No building permits on file for reconstruction.

โšก Why it matters

That's a big MSO pulling out of mid-Michigan. Between the 24% wholesale tax and falling retail prices, more grows are going to close. If you're still running, that's less competition down the road.

No license status changes this week, but watch for those 5 Ascend licenses to flip to Closed.
